Hospitales: Indicadores y Estrategia

En un hospital, como en toda empresa, el uso de indicadores es fundamental a la hora de tomar decisiones. Es necesario, por tanto, escoger unos indicadores adecuados, que tengan en cuenta las necesidades de:

los “accionistas” (el parlamento en representación de los ciudadanos)
los “clientes” (los ciudadanos cuando acuden como usuarios)
el proceso interno
los profesionales.

La estrategia para alcanzar posicionamiento y liderazgo en el escenario en que se opera debe tener en cuenta estas cuatro perspectivas. Se trata del Balanced Scorecard (BSC) o Cuadro de Mando Integral (CMI) propuesto por Kaplan y Norton en 1990. Estamos en 2008 y creo que ni los accionistas, ni los clientes, ni los profesionales de los hospitales están demasiado satisfechos con la situación. Y de procesos internos a perfeccionar podría contar unos cuantos…
