Medicamentos oncológicos: “Modelo de gestión y financiamiento”
Un trabajo de Silvia Giselle Guevara, Verónica Natalia Russo. El presente trabajo propone el análisis de la prestación de medicamentos
oncológicos que forma parte de un universo más amplio constituido por el segmento de medicamentos especiales, conociéndose a éstos a aquellos indicados en patologías que presentan baja prevalencia pero alto impacto en lo económico – denominadas patologías especiales de alto costo y baja incidencia -.

Este trabajo surge de la necesidad de buscar decisiones que se adapten al actual escenario caracterizado por la amenazante escasez de recursos debido a:
Una demanda creciente de medicamentos por el aumento de las tasas de uso correlacionadas con el incremento de la incidencia de neoplasias que requieren ser tratadas con terapias farmacológicas.
Avances de la tecnología cada vez más rápidos que promueven tratamientos más costosos obligando a destinar una mayor asignación de recursos para este rubro.
